Salary: $100/Worship
Job Overview: The Bethlehem Lutheran church musician plays music for Sunday worship services as well as special services such as funerals and Holy Week worship at the church.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Play for Sunday worship services, and for additional special services as may be planned for Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday, as well as other occasions as specified.
• Playing for funerals as schedule allows.
• Communicating to worship committee when repairs or maintenance of organ/piano is required.
• Planning music to play during the prelude, offering, and communion.
Skills and Attributes:
• Organized, honest, reliable, and efficient
• Ability to play the piano and/or pipe organ
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Experience and comfort using different styles of music.
