We are a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The beliefs we hold are shared across the ELCA:
- We confess in the Triune God -Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- We proclaim Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
- We believe in the Doctrine of Justification: all people are imperfect but are saved by grace through faith in Christ. Our works do not bring about salvation, but God’s grace alone.
Faith is a gift from God, it is the relationship created by the Holy Spirit with us. God’s promise of love and mercy in Jesus opens us to a life of trust in God and joyful service to all whom we meet.
We express, confess, and base our teachings in Scripture, both Old and New Testament, the Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, and the Lutheran confessional writings (found in the Book of Concord).
